A leap year only comes every four years (until 2100) and Apple recognizes this by giving away five apps that normally cost a few ringgit, for free. Note that they are only free for a day, so after today, this deal is over.
The deal was first made public through Apple’s newsletter that was sent out at 6am this morning that says:
“Five apps. Free for one day. What will you do with an extra 24 hours this year? We’re here to help you decide with five great apps you can get for free, only on 29 February. Tackle that video project you’ve been meaning to finish, stretch your artist’s wings and sketch — or simply take time to relax. In the mood for fun instead? Build bridges and solve puzzles in two absorbing games.”
The newsletter has a link that should redirect you to the exact iTunes App Store page, but it didn’t in my case. If that happens, simply go to App Store on iTunes or your iOS device and look for the yellow banner you see above. It will bring you to a page to download the free five apps with the following description:
“This extra day doesn’t come often, so we want to help you to have some fun. On 29 February only, you can get all five of these terrific apps and games for free, Enjoy brain-bending puzzles, make drawings and videos and embrace calmness with a soothing relaxation app.”
