Microsoft Malaysia launched the Surface Pro 4 in Malaysia back in November 2015, and it was accompanied by all of its accessories except the Surface Pro 4 Type Cover with Fingerprint ID. That is until now; Microsoft Malaysia has finally made available this fingerprint-sensing Type Cover over at its Authorized Reseller stores, including Lazada, for the low, low price of RM669. It only comes in Black. For comparison, the regular the Surface Pro 4 Type Cover is priced at RM529, and comes in Black, Blue, and Bright Blue.
This keyboard is compatible with both Surface Pro 4 and Surface Pro 3, and it effectively prolongs Pro 3’s lifespan, making it more compelling than ever, now that is more affordable. This is because while Windows 10 comes with the Windows Hello authentication feature, Surface Pro 3 lacks the iris-scanning camera unlike its newer sibling, the Pro 4. Since dimensions on both devices are almost identical, the Surface Pro 4 Type Cover with Fingerprint ID will fit on both tablets. With this keyboard, Surface Pro 3 remains relevant as it can use the accessory’s fingerprint scanner for Windows Hello. Here are some of the specifications for this Type Cover:
