Huawei Technologies Malaysia recently announced its new Honor 3C Lite smartphone that is a slightly lower-end version of the Honor 3C launched seven months ago. By ‘slightly lower-end’, I don’t mean that it is much of a compromise, but just a skim on a few components. It is known as Honor 3C Play in some regions.
Honor 3C Lite still runs on the same 1.3GHz quad-core Mediatek MT6582, has the same 5-inch 720p display, and the same 8-megapixel rear camera, as the Honor 3C. However, while the Honor 3C has 2GB RAM, 5MP front camera, and 2300mAh Li-po battery, the Honor 3C Lite’s equivalent hardware are at 1GB, 2MP, and 2000mAh Li-ion, respectively. To compensate, Huawei is throwing in a 16GB internal storage, twice the size of Honor 3C’s 8GB ROM.

This may seem like a great supplement to Honor’s portfolio, with Honor 6 at the top, but the company has removed Honor 3C from its Vmall.my store, so you could no longer get that, if you want an mid-range Honor with a slightly larger RAM and better front camera.
In any case, the pre-order of Honor 3C Lite has begun on November 28th at 10am, and ends December 3rd at 6pm. Its supposed retail price is RM449 (just RM50 less than Honor 3C), but right now it will only cost you RM399 to get one.
For those who pre-ordered yesterday (November 28th), the shipment begins Monday, December 8th. Right now (November 29th), it says that the shipment will start after December 16th, a Tuesday.
