I’d like to think that if you’re a techie, power user, or nerd, you’ll tend to gravitate towards using a Google Nexus for the pure Android experience and its high-customizability traits, but don’t mind so much the design. However, if you’re a fashionista, you’d rather go for good-looks first, and practical features (such as camera performance) second, but don’t mind so much what version of Android your phone is on. But what if you’re both a techie and a fashionista; how do you solve this First World conundrum? Well, Huawei’s got a solution for you. Fortunately, this season’s Nexus is made by Huawei and the company these days is known for its premium-looking phones. While the Nexus 6P in Aluminum and Graphite already looks great, Huawei will soon be offering the Gold colored Nexus 6P for sale in Malaysia from mid-March 2016, for the same RM2,698 price tag.
There are four color options in total — Aluminum, Frost, Gold, and Graphite — but no word on when the Frost colored Nexus 6P will be available here, if ever. Frost is essentially just the Nexus 6P’s aluminum body painted in white.
Android enthusiasts should all know about the Nexus 6P and how great it is to have a pure Android experience. The Nexus 6P is generally well-received, however this new Gold variant brings nothing new to the table, except its more attractive color.
The current Aluminum and Graphite Nexus 6P smartphones by Huawei are already on sale at Vmall.my and Lazada Malaysia, so expect the new Gold color variant to be sold alongside in around one week’s time.
