When we first reported on the existence of the Malaysian ASUS Store last month, the site was still under testing and customers were not able to do anything else except to register for an account. The store has since been officially launched on the 3rd of this month and has been operational now for 2 weeks. Since this is also the month where Malaysians will be celebrating Christmas (as well as the New Year’s day a week after), ASUS is giving away free bumper cases for the pioneer customers of the store.
The bumper cases are for the store’s best selling Zenfone 4 as well as its biggest offering, the Zenfone 6 (sorry Zenfone 5 fans). This offer actually started on the 10th of December and everyday, the first 100 customers will be eligible to get one bumper case free for every purchase of the devices. This should be exciting as the store is not selling any of its accessories yet. The only negative point to this offer is that ASUS is only giving away Black coloured cases for both of the product lines. ASUS has also not given a specific date as to when the campaign ends except that the cases are only available while stocks last.
There’s no minimum purchase and every device comes with a free delivery. ASUS has posted that devices will be delivered within 3 days after purchase but we’ve heard back from an ASUS Malaysia representative that it normally takes between 1-2 days for West Malaysia and 2-3 days for East Malaysia. ASUS has also confirmed that there will not be any surcharges for deliveries to EM, which is great news for folks in Sabah and Sarawak who are looking to get something this holiday season.
